Proving the existence of the origin of existence and the Lord of the Universe, Almighty God, is the first step in the field of religious knowledge. Monotheistic scholars have long presented various arguments in this regard. Monotheistic thinkers have long presented various arguments in this regard to the truth seekers. Among the contemporary Christian thinkers who have made special efforts in this direction is the American Christian theologian William Craig. The results of the aforementioned research show that William Craig's cosmological argument for the word has several important and fundamental flaws in its premises, which expose this argument to serious challenges. The aim of this research is to critique the premises of William Craig’s Kalām cosmological argument, using Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Occurrence argument (ḥudūth) as the foundation. This research is conducted through a comparative-analytical method. The results show that William Craig’s Kalām cosmological argument contains several fundamental flaws in its premises. These flaws include considering creation (ḥudūth) as the cause for the need of the effect for a cause, the impossibility of an infinite regress of successive causes not being rejected, and failing to take into account the concept of philosophical non-existence, all of which can be properly understood and addressed through Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Occurrence argument.
