Abstract
The relationship between Imam's knowledge and action is one of the important issues of Shia belief. Historical narrations in some cases (such as the knowledge of some imams about how to martyrdom and being exposed for martyrdom) show the apparent contradiction of their actions with some Islamic Muslim rules (such as the sanctity of suicide). The lack of comprehensiveness of the existing researches makes it necessary to obtain the correct theory on the mentioned subject in order to get out of this contradiction and opposition to some Islamic religious and jurisprudential principles. The present research, based on the descriptive-analytical method based on Shia traditions, is trying to resolve the above-mentioned conflict based on the relationship between the levels of existence and the knowledge and deeds of the Imam. The findings show that the resolution of the aforementioned conflict is dependent on the discovery of the quality of the influence of the imam's existential status on the ruling based on the imam's knowledge and actions. Contrary to the confession of some researchers who consider the rise of Imam Hussain (a.s.) solely on the basis of light and divine science, it is correct that this science has also been proven in normal ways. However, it is not possible to explain the justification that has been given for the martyrdom of some imams, in relation to the action of Imam Hussain (a.s.), That is, the action of the Imam is not related to the duty from the divine point of view, but it is related to the duty from the human point of view.
